The CMSMS core team is made up of talented people dedicated to making the best open source CMS out there.
The team and a growing group of devotees meet semi regularly on IRC to discuss plans for the product, and and how to take forward steps.
We even try to have a "geek-moot" once per year, where we meet in person in a chosen location around the world, to decide how this product should move forward, and to geek out with marathon development sessions. Of course, there's the requisite amount of celebration and partying at these meetings.

Details:
After 6 years of working in his father's metal shop doing drafting and machine programming, Ted fell into the world of professional software development. Now 5 years into it, there is no chance that he will ever escape the clutches of programming for a living.
He started CMS Made Simple while looking for something to do after throwing in the towel on the Boss Ogg project. The original idea was to find a CMS for mpd, but after getting frustrated trying to find the perfect one, he decided to jump in a build his own. It's all been downhilll from there...
He lives in the Philadelphia area with his wife, daughter, and beagle.
Skills and Abilities:
Ted has been a professional software developer for approximately 10 years. He can program in a wide array of languages (PHP, Ruby, Python, Java and .net just to name a few), and always stays on the bleeding edge of new technologies and methodologies. His company, Shift Refresh, is now in business and ready to handle your needs.
He's also a decent welder.

Tired of all of the complaints from aunt's, uncles, parents and grandparents of "Send me pictures!", and too cheap to go to walmart get copies made and mail them out to the horde, Robert decided "the family can get the pictures off of the web, all I have to do is build a website." A couple of years later after working hard at doing all the pages (rather badly) in pure HTML Robert stumbled upon CMS made simple.
Within 15 minutes it was up and operational, and he was busy looking into add this and that cool feature to his site. He soon dug in and began using his 13+ years as a unix/windows C++ geek in the seismic industry to his advantage in a new (to him) programming language, PHP. He's been writing addons for, and contributing little bits here and there to CMSMS ever since.
When he's not glued in front of the PC working on one program or module or another, he's spending time with the family and kids (all five of them), and trying to find time for all them fun but costly outdoor sports like 4x4ing, fishing, archery, hunting (and the list goes on).
Skills and Abilities:
Robert specializes in programming and unix administration. No network or program is too small, for him. He has extensive experience working in unix (Linux and "Solaris), and in programming in a variety of languages (C, C++, PHP, Perl, Javascript, Shell Scripting).... etc. To Robert, Programming is just programming, it doesn't matter the language, syntax doesn't take long to learn.
Service Offerings:
* CMS Made Simple Support Contracts
* CMS Made Simple Custom Programming
* Custom Programming
* Unix Administration

Half a musician and half self-taught programmer Morten really never decided which career to focus on, leading to a life of a little of each.Living mainly off more or less freelance work as a pianist and music teacher, he likes to spend whatever time is left on different kind of computer projects, some of which is managed through a small consulting company of his own.
Having tried to manage some established CMS's he once decided to write his own Nuke-style CMS with a flexible plugin architecture, but it never made it that far off the ground (some sites do exist still running the system known as LiteNuke, though).
Discovering CMSMadeSimple, which presented some of the same philosophies as he had tried, somewhat unsuccessfully, to implement in LiteNuke, he decided to get to know, and try to help in the development of, CMSMS instead. He is both contributing to the core system and developing several addon modules.

After some tough experiences with content updates of static web pages he wanted to just take care of the design and structure of the site himself and let other edit the stuff inside. While looking for a system which would save him time avoiding to update his business static web pages René discovered CMS Made Simple in the spring 2006.
After a short while with testing he had to consult the chat room about missing Norwegian translations of strings - and the friendliness that met him made him to contribute himself. He now uses CMSMS for the most of the sites he make.
René is now teamleader of TranslationTeam and does Norwegian translations. He also helps with crash-testing before new CMSMS releases.

Tyler's career in web development started for him in high school. He had a free day at school since half of the kids were not in attendance that day. After roaming the halls of the school for awhile he found himself in the computer lab. He stopped at the web design section and very quickly he designed a few pages with text, images and links. Having fun with this project he wanted to continue but found the short comings of Frontpage would hinder his progress. Tyler then continued to expand his skills and used Dreamweaver as his weapon of choice. In time he learned HTML and used Dreamweaver mainly for a templating tool to make site wide changes. He dabbled in some PHP and Perl gallery and forum applications.
Years later Tyler became familiar with CMS Made Simple after a customer requested to have the option to update their own website once he designed it. After spending many stressful nights trying to find a CMS that would work well for him and for the customer (something he couldn't seem to find in other applications) he found CMS Made Simple. After testing a demo of CMS Made Simple he knew within minutes he found what he was after. He quickly un-installed the other CMS's he had tested, installed CMS Made Simple and never looked back. He finds CMS Made Simple to be a perfect application for him since he can accomplish numerous tasks without being a mad scientist or programmer.
Tyler currently works in the financial industry as an IT Administrator. When asked what he does for his job he chuckles and says "I work on pretty much anything that plugs into the wall. If it needs to be installed or repaired, I am the man of the hour. In my current job I've fixed servers, toasters, vacuums, ATM's, teller terminals and check scanners."
When not geeking out, Tyler thoroughly enjoys working with his hands. He says it is a welcome release from sitting behind a set of monitors all day long. He enjoys doing DIY projects around the house, landscaping and working on cars and trucks. Once and awhile he likes to use his Class A trucking license and hit the road hauling a double load of trailers for his parents business.

I have always wanted to know how everything works, some of my earliest memories are of taking apart everything not nailed down, and some that were, then reassembling it.
I started bringing junk home at a very early age, had to figure out what was wrong with it and maybe fix it or use it for something else.
I have been in construction (building things) since I was big enough to swing a hammer, I just love to build and fix anything, so when my brother upgraded his PC he gave the old one to me and I had no idea how to use it but curiosity kicked in as usual and I started tinkering and it's been down hill ever since I fried a video card and PCI slot in that mother board.
Started working on the repair of PCs in all forms, hardware problems, software snafus and then it was off to do web sites.
Well, after hand coding them in notepad I got tired of having to change the menu structure by hand on all those pages so I looked and found that you could do it with a software system on the server, Content Management System, I started checking out a lot of CMSs, none were setup in the way I was used to with flat files, till I found CMS Made Simple in March of 2006 and I would never use another, they just don't stack up.
The ease of installation, intuitive admin interface, a great variety of modules, I especially like the way the template and style sheets are set up, and a great forum for support.
I found a lot of answers on the forum when I first started out and soon found a few questions I could answer and have been trying to give back to the community ever since.
I specialize in getting templates, style sheets/CSS working in CMSMS.
I can take any image or existing template and get it to work, sorry but I haven't found one yet that I couldn't do.
Bring it on.
I have extensive knowledge of the menu manager which allows me to get some interesting results.

Noel's IT career started over 25 years ago, as a COBOL programmer for large systems. With the advent of Local Area Networks, he moved over to network administration where he kept busy installing, configuring and managing LANs in a large corporate environment. This environment ultimately evolved into Wide Area Networks (WANs) and Enterprise Networks (ENs) and Noel was there every step of the way, leading the design aspect of the environment. Eventually, Noel got involved in building internal and external corporate websites, utilizing his programming skills once again. A couple of years ago he started a "hobby" business doing web design and hosting, hoping to build a solid clientèle as a "part time" post-retirement source of income. He discovered CMS Made Simple in 2006 and has been using it almost exclusively for web development ever since.

He never looked back. Since then he enjoys the CMSms project : new features, bug fixes, shared tips, open improvements etc.
