Around age 10 Avi started honing his tech skills on his father's Apple IIE. But disassembling and reassembling perfectly functioning systems until they stopped working wasn't the end of his tech-experiments. Years later, having taken apart nearly every household electronic item he could get his hands on, he would remember the sounds of his first modem and BBS login fondly and shift from hardware to software as he created his first "batch" files. One day, while very bored, he put his high school's library computers into an endless reboot loop! But using hex editor to make the computer commands naughty and driving librarians crazy wasn't all that he did. He also explored his love of sci-fi creating alien dichotomous key programs to run in DOS.
However, as is the case with so many young men, a girl pushed Avi to take an explorative life detour and a love of the theatre was born. Years later having earned his BA in that area he knew not what to do with his life and ended up in master control (making sure everyone got to see all their favorite commercials) at a local tv station working many a graveyard shift. Later, having worked his way up to Director and Technical Director in the local television market an opportunity presented itself for Avi to reaffirm his love of the digital and he joined a friend's web company. It was here Avi would discover his love for CMS Made Simple.
Currently Avi gets to combine his love of all things digital with his love of the theatre at The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies where he serves as the full-time Multimedia Specialist providing video/web creation and marketing services.
