An important security and update release for the 1.x series of CMS Made Simple we encourage everybody to upgrade their websites as soon as possible.

It has been a few months, and while we have been working hard on 2.0 we still haven't forgotten the 1.11.x series. We have been busy fixing a few bugs, updating our core libraries, and generally making things just a bit more stable.
This release includes upgrades to Smarty, jQuery, jQuery UI, the blueimp file upload mechanism, a few small bug fixes, fixes for one or two security vulnerabilities, and an improvement to the module loading mechanism.
The security key used in each and every admin request has been upgraded from 8 to 16 characters to minimize the likelihood of any brute force attacks being able to hack into your website. This will mean that everybody will probably have to login anew.
Due to the importance of the issues we have fixed, we recommend all users upgrade their installations of CMS Made Simple as soon as possible.
As of this release, the only officially supported releases of CMSMS are 1.11.9 and 1.11.10. Requests for support for older versions will be moved out of the official support section of the forum. It is our plan to continue support for the 1.11.x series for one year (365 days) after CMSMS 2.0 is released.
Thank you for your time and have fun with your favourite content management system.
